Jesus brought Peter, James and John up Mount Tabor and there was transfigured. This was a crucial point the disciples' faith journey. Peter even exclaim "Lord, how good it is that we are here!".
Our life is about a daily journey of loving to deepen our belief in Christ, such that we don't only profess to know Him, but have also learned to love him, and have likewise sought to respond to this love by serving Him in this world.
It is faith that unlocks, within us, a total response to Christ's presence. Our daily stride is about keeping faithful, not achieving perfection. Only God is perfect. He does not expect us to be that. But what God knows that we can do and give, is to be faithful, to rise again, and walk after every fall. He knows that our following Him is difficult and challenging, strewn into many incongruences, pitfalls, and shortcomings.
Because we believe, we are hopeful. Because we believe, we are confident. Because we believe, we are expectant.
Our prayer is that, as Christ had exhorted us to be as children and believe, we too come to truly believe.
